Aug 17: Thinking like a Hacker: A guide to Life, SQL, and Security.

by Brian Guarnieri
Posted by altadmin Friday, August 12, 2016 4:01:00 PM Categories: Meeting
This month, join Brian Guarnieri for colorful anecdotes on how to think like a hacker and use the hacker ethos to fix holes, and see holes you never thought might be there.
Hacking affects everyone and databases hold the keys to the kingdom. What is a business if not it’s data in the 21st Century?
Learn and understand interesting facts, social engineering, hacking, and how a little common sense can save you when your company hemorrhages data. Find out how users made a company a “classless society” one afternoon.

This is an open comedic look at a serious subject and audience participation is both wanted and encouraged. A sense of humor is highly suggested.

So, come join the Fort Worth SQL Server User Group for a comedic look at security, hacking, and how it effects your bottom line day to day.

Meet and Greet: 6:30 PM Presentation(interactive!) begins at 7 PM

Bio: Does anyone really know the world of Brian Guarnieri? Raised on Max Headroom, Tron, Weird Al, and Monty Python, he brings his dark sense of humor to the masses.
One part administrator, one part developer and one part security enthusiast. He’s a here to spread his collective last minute wings to bring the act of security and server hardening out of the depths of boredom.
Currently working for Robert Half Consulting as a SQL Server Administrator and part-time ETL engineer. He’s the guy poking around all those places in the dark so clients don’t have too.
